About OQmented

OQmented is a young startup in the field of microchip development for microelectromechanical systems (MEMS). We enable the world’s largest consumer and automotive companies to achieve breakthroughs for augmented reality displays, 3D camera systems and autonomous driving through innovative products. For this purpose, we develop and produce compact deflection systems for laser beams, which can be used, for example, for laser projection systems in AR glasses or for 3D cameras.

About your Role

  • You will play a vital role in a small international team, working on novel and exciting laser-based scanning devices
  • Your work will form a bridge between existing software and hardware
  • You will conceptualize and develop the hardware required for the next steps in development
  • You will develop routines to read out data from MEMS-actuators and feedback systems
  • You will work interdisciplinary at the intersection of AI, computer vision and optomechanics
  • You will independently commission new systems which include debugging and documentation

Your Qualifications

  • University degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering or similar
  • Track record of embedded software development for ARM micro-controllers
  • Ability to develop embedded systems independently
  • Good programming skills in C/C++ and Python
  • Knowledge of processes and architectures relevant for computer vision and artificial intelligence
  • Knowledge of circuit diagram development desirable
  • Experience with code review and Git desirable
  • Familiarity with MEMS systems would be a plus
  • Proficiency in English (C1), German language skills would be a plus
  • Creative problem-solving skills and analytical way of working 
  • Ability to work in a team and independently
